In 2005, the United Way of Saskatoon Board of Directors confirmed that the message heard from key stakeholders is that 211 is a service that is needed and wanted in Saskatchewan. The next steps for 211 Saskatchewan included the establishment of a steering committee of community leaders to assist United Way in implementing the business plan developed by Deloitte. UW of Saskatoon has invested in the 211 initiative through the Community Initiatives Fund, community building budget and a grant from the Federal government. In-kind corporate support has also been received from SaskTel and Deloitte.

Awesome info! I was honestly just thinking about something similar to this da other day so, it was almost weird when I ran across this. You would be surprised how many people simply have no idea when it comes to this kind of stuff.
