Robust, Oracle-based web applications must be optimized for searching and flexible enough to accomodate public and professional use as well as local and global requirements. Originally designed to scale out to a national directory of services, the next generation Findhelp application is under development as part of the 211Ontario.ca project.

Ontario Information Session: Taxonomy RFP

Presenters: Megan Mooney, Senior Policy Analyst, Ministry of Community and Social Services; and Deborah Woods, 211Ontario.ca Taxonomy Project Manager

The information session was for Ontario organizations with local data collection as part of their mandate. The session covered the eligibility requirements and the application process for funding to support taxonomy conversion. The conversion project timeframe is April 2007 to March 2008.
